Describing myself in a few characters reminds me of how little I like tinder. Just like I don’t like crunchy-looking, mealy apples, accepting unnecessary cookies because the agree button was green, the fact that tea is always either too hot or too cold, that my keys and mobile phone take turns hiding so that I’m always running late and Kai Wegner. OK, Kai Wegner I like even less than tinder. In actuality though I’m a pretty positive person: I almost never get upset and I love many people and things. But there’s not enough space here to describe that. And also it’s just a lot of fun to get upset together about unnecessary things!

Connecting Futures: Paula Ruppert
Hello, my name is Paula and I study East European Studies in Munich. When I was younger, I wanted to become an opera singer and make music with and for other people. Then I started to get interested in movies and pretty quickly realized: film is like music, just different. There are basic techniques and methods which you have to learn and which can be explained – after that you just need to have a feel for it. It can be used or misused for political purposes. It can connect people and overcome borders and boundaries, it can introduce new worlds and explain them. In Connecting Futures I can learn exactly that – how to overcome boundaries with movies.
