Krsto Papić
(Vučedol, Montenegro, 1933 – Zagreb, 2013), internationally acclaimed Croatian film director and screenwriter and one of the most important representatives of Yugoslav auteur cinema. Graduate of the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. Since the 1960s and during the 1970s he worked on his politically committed feature films dealing with life in the mountainous hinterland of Dalmatia and on socially critical documentaries, which won many awards.
