A refugee camp, several border crossings, a house surrounded by a wall…
inhabitants of Aida, Bethlehem, draw mental maps of the places around them
and tell the stories related to those subjective geographies. Step by step,
from drawing to drawing, we discover the refugee camp and it’s surroundings, we
follow the routes of some persons and their attemps to deal with the state of
siege they live under. Let’s call it a tribute to resistance by going around obstacles,
in times where the very possibility of that resistance seems to be vanishing. – Till Roeskens
Till Roeskens, born in 1974 in Freiburg, Germany, lives and works in Marseille, France. His photographic and video works has been shown in numerous exhibitions in museums as well as in galleries.
