Félix Dufour-Laperrière
Born in 1981, in Chicoutimi, Québec. He lives and works in Montréal. His films show a constant tension between narrative and formal exploration and maintain a close relationship with the visual and contemporary arts. His work has been featured in numerous festivals, galleries, museums and international events and has won several awards and distinctions. He has made a large number of short films. ”Transatlantic” (11. UX) is his first feature film.

A vintage erotic film is cut into stripes and then reassembled. As these filmstrips are displaced and manipulated, a shift from figuration to abstraction is occurring.
