Around 300,000 people fell victim to the “euthanasia” murders during the Nazi era. Yet they rarely feature in the culture of remembrance and commemoration. To this day, these crimes continue to influence discussions about inclusion and how society treats people with disabilities and marginalized groups. The killings of the sick have left a lasting trauma in the victims’ families. Many of the descendants are setting out to uncover the truth and are breaking the silence.
