Images, flowing as if they’re underwater. Sensual red. Water colours, textiles and plant remains flowing in the water. Through impressions of ‘exotic’ beauty and its endangerment through the powerful gaze of the voyeur, Diglossia examines the aesthetics and violence of the images with which the mass media are creating apparent realities or forming information through vague and blurred contextual attribution. Through build-up, overlapping and distortion in the audiovisual score, own atmospheres and ambivalences are formed. No knowledge is secure.

Fatih Aydogdu, born 1963 in Turkey. He lives and works in Vienna and Istanbul. Aydogdu is visual artist, designer, sound artist and curator focused on concepts of media aesthetics and linguistical issues.
